Morpeth Road

Welcome to Morpeth Road Primary Academy

I would like to extend a warm welcome to Morpeth Road Primary Academy from all staff, students, parents and Governors. We are here as an extended family to support, nurture and develop the full potential of all our students and their families.

As a school we are firmly at the heart of the community we serve and have been so since 1910. It is an honour to be a key member of the community and hope that we reflect the aspirations and needs of our community and play a key role in delivering those aspirations.

We belong to a wider community of schools that form “The Blyth Quays Multi Academy Trust” that strives to make the children in Blyth successful. School also has a range of partnership schools in Europe built through two very successful Comenius projects. This provides our students to learn alongside schools from Finland, Holland, Lithuania, Czech Republic, Germany, France and Italy.

Our key aim is to develop the whole child through social, emotional, physical, spiritual and academic characters to give them self-belief and confidence to contribute as citizens in our communities. Ofsted have recognised our commitment to our goals by judging us “Good with outstanding features”.

School passionately believe that all young people can achieve if challenged to do so. Morpeth Road Primary Academy is a place where pupils make good to outstanding progress, enjoy their learning and take a full and active part in school life.

Morpeth Road is a fun place to learn and I believe that strongly, where students succeed through a dedicated staff who have high expectations of all our young people and where they thrive on a range of opportunities offered to them.

I look forward to meeting you to share our vision and to welcome you to our growing family.
